The sign on the left appears to be the leading line with the arrow but the barbed wire barriers are too strong a statement and stops the viewers in their tracks giving us a mixed message. I suggest you try cropping the bottom and right side out with the sign's bottom being the bottom edge of the image and the message SF with the arrow pointing and the right edge cropped to the red or brown shirt and see if you like that message.

I concur with SBerzin but my suggestion is to crop the foreground to eliminate the shadows which is distracting and doesn't add anything and maybe a little empty sky then I would darken the expansion joint line in the concrete to emphasize the leading line. Good job!

I concur with SBerzin's comments. If you want to see how it should be cropped, just hit the zoom on this image and I think that's the comp you might be looking for. Good work!
