Every week we'll have a different theme for our weekly project. This week s theme is "Leading Lines".
A
leading line is used in photography to literally lead the gaze of the viewer from one point of the image to another. Learn more about the use of leading lines here:

Agree with Gordon. Not sure what is the purpose of this photo. Just to see pipe organ? This image doesn't look interesting to me. In terms of leading lines - they have to lead somewhere. There are lines on this photo, of course, but they lead to the ceiling which is not a point of interest, in my opinion.

I like the choice of shutter speed, allowing a bit of motion blur to make the image less static.

I'm afraid cropping the tree would make the shadows distracting.

Very vibrant image! I like it! You might want to create a metal print from Large Metal Print on this; contrast and vibrant colors do well on metal prints.

One of many bridges along the Matt Davis trail . . . saw the lies, set down my little point-and-shoot, set up 10 second delay, converted to black-and-white

In terms of leading line it does work. I wold try to cut off the left part up to the middle of the left diagonal of the path (not the middle of the path). The left site is not so interesting so cutting it off makes the images stronger, in my opinion.

Sonoma Neighborhood Walk

I prefer the filter to auto, but it may be too dark.I originally took this because I liked the fence. I had to crop it so the prize wasn't so far away!

Agree with GordonCh. The leading lines should bring you to the "prize", in my opinion, but it's dark over there. If there would be a train - the image would be more interesting. Also, why it's tilted to the right?

Again, agree with GordonCh. The lading lines work, but the "prize", i.e. the person is too far.

Thanks again for your comments; while I wanted to catch the long white boat on the left I see that cropping could provide more details of the boats on the right as they are closer to see. The illusion of listing to the right is probably from my wide angle lens but I see your point. Thanks.

Since the leading ling leads nowhere, i.e. there is no point of interest there it makes me frustrated, as a viewer. I didn't get my prize :)

Agree with GordonCh. The image is tilted. In terms of leading lines I am trying to see what's there at the end of the walkway and I can't see what is it. When I click on the image to enlarge it it starts looking better since I can see some buildings, but they are too far and too small. So, the leading lines work, but do they help the image? Not sure.

The leading line works well. The path leads to the mountain covered with snow. However, the foreground is not very interesting, in my opinion. Cutting off the bottom half of the image makes it much stronger, and the reminder of the path, the S-curve still leads to the mountain. Try it.
