Critiquing one another's work often leads to a new perspective on your own photography that you might not have considered before. As photographers, we often get so invested in what we're doing that we fail to see some of the small things that can make a photo better. If another person can point this out to us, it can lead to improvements in our work.

Be prepared to receive advice that you don't like, or don't agree with. If you receive what you think is a bad comment- first, think about the comment from their point of view. They may well just have a point. However, if you still don't agree, be polite and respectful, or better yet- don't reply. Never get into an arguing match with someone who doesn't share your opinion of your photo. It is, after all, only an opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.

Folsom Street Fair, San Francisco. One of the more elegant handcuff arrangements. The leash goes to her collar, and he's roughly squeezing her tush.

It was cloudy and misty on our trip up the mountain, but with clouds, and luck, you can get a rainbow!

It makes for an excellent Zoom background during meetings!

Yes, it's out of focus, but he really wanted to crawl onto my lap!

I like the wave focused directly on the rock. Marin County is in the background. Taken in the late afternoon of an unusually clear February day after many days of rain.

Taken from the Temple of Poseidon. The sailboat, running on power, is in the lower right.

Moraine Lake is formed by glacier melt, which gives the water a unique color. It's June, but the lake is still icy. At more than 1800 m (6100 ft) of altitude, the road here is one of the highest in all of Canada. Photo taken with my Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact phone, and I preferred this photo to several others taken with my full frame DSLR

A nice day to hang out in the park. That's two people, a dog, and a red wagon. My first photo of 2019.

Looking south along Spitalgasse. The town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber is on Germany's Romantic Road (Romantische Strasse). The walls of the town and its towers have been preserved, without being damaged in the world wars. All of the buildings in the old town (inside the walls), including these, are centuries old. From the west side of town, you can see out over the entire Tauber Valley. Sad to say, the town was recognized as the "most German of German towns" by the Nazis in 1938, and the citizens of Rothenburg ob der Tauber expelled their Jewish citizens then. The people of Rothenburg ob der Tauber were known to be strong supporters of National Socialism, the Nazi party.
