Moraine Lake with Surrounding Mountains - near Lake Louise, Alberta (Moraine Lake is formed by glacier melt, which gives the water a unique color. It's June, but the lake is still icy. At more than 1800 m (6100 ft) of altitude, the road here is one of the highest in all of Canada.

The town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber is on Germany's Romantic Road (Romantische Strasse). The walls of the town and its towers have been preserved, without being damaged in the world wars. All of the buildings in the old town (inside the walls), including these, are centuries old. From the west side of town, you can see out over the entire Tauber Valley.

Sad to say, the town was recognized as the "most German of German towns" by the Nazis in 1938, and the citizens of Rothenburg ob der Tauber expelled their Jewish citizens then. The people of Rothenburg ob der Tauber were known to be strong supporters of National Socialism, the Nazi party.)
